In conjunction with the JESUS Film Project, the Blue Letter Bible presents the filmed adaptation of the Gospel of Luke that would be edited to become the film, JESUS (a two-hour docudrama about the life of Christ). That film has been seen in every country of the world and translated into over 1,140 languages since its initial release in 1979.
The goal of the JESUS Film Project (producers of the film, JESUS) is to reach every nation, tribe, people, and tongue, helping them see and hear the story of Jesus in a language they can understand—so that whether a person speaks Swahili, French, or any other language, he or she will encounter the life and message of Jesus in a language "of the heart."
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
