Janie is a woman who has a remarkable story of God in her life. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. Growing up as a missionary kid in Brazil, Janie went on to meet Jesus for herself in her university years, giving her life to the Lord in 1967.

Janie has been a kindergarten, high school and university teacher, conference speaker and Dean of Women at Calvary Chapel Bible College in California. She married Justin, a church pastor. She has been a pastor’s wife for over 35 years and is mother of five girls.

Janie understands firsthand God's grace and His power to bring a person through tragedy. She lost her parents, Bob and Billie Lytton, in a plane crash in 1971. She also lost her sister in the crash. Later, she lived through pain of losing one of her own children.

She is a wonderful speaker who will touch your heart with godly wisdom and southern humor. Currently, Janie is working with her husband, Justin, in a ministry called “Word In Life,” touring and speaking to churches and groups across the country.
