When David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, “Blessed be the LORD who championed my cause against Nabal’s insults and restrained his servant from doing evil. The LORD brought Nabal’s evil deeds back on his own head.”
Then David sent messengers to speak to Abigail about marrying him.
When David H1732 heard H8085 that Nabal H5037 was dead H4191, he said H559, “Blessed H1288 be the LORD H3068, who H834 has pleaded H7378 the cause H7379 of the shame H2781 inflicted H2781 on me by the hand H3027 of Nabal H5037, and has kept H2820 back H2820 His servant H5650 from evil H7451. The LORD H3068 has also returned H7725 the evildoing H7451 of Nabal H5037 on his own head H7218.” Then David H1732 sent H7971 [fn]a proposal H1696 to Abigail H26, to take H3947 her as his wife H802.

Yahweh H3068 has also returned H7725 the evil H7451 of Nabal H5037 on his own head H7218.” Then David H1732 sent H7971 [fn]a proposal H1696 to Abigail H26, to take H3947 her as his wife H802.
When David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, “Blessed be the LORD, who has pleaded the cause of my reproach [suffered] at the hand of Nabal and has kept His servant from [retaliating with] evil.
