πλὴν ὅτι ζῇ κύριος θεὸς Ισραηλ ὃς ἀπεκώλυσέν με σήμερον τοῦ κακοποιῆσαί σε ὅτι εἰ μὴ ἔσπευσας καὶ παρεγένου εἰς ἀπάντησίν μοι τότε εἶπα εἰ ὑπολειφθήσεται τῷ Ναβαλ ἕως φωτὸς τοῦ πρωὶ οὐρῶν πρὸς τοῖχον

وَلكِنْ حَيٌّ هُوَ الرَّبُّ إِلهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ الَّذِي مَنَعَنِي عَنْ أَذِيَّتِكِ، إِنَّكِ لَوْ لَمْ تُبَادِرِي وَتَأْتِي لاسْتِقْبَالِي، لَمَا أُبْقِيَ لِنَابَالَ إِلَى ضَوْءِ الصَّبَاحِ بَائِلٌ بِحَائِطٍ».

وَلَكِنْ حَيٌّ هُوَ الرَّبُّ الَّذِي مَنَعَنِي مِنَ الإِسَاءَةِ إِلَيْكِ، فَلَوْ لَمْ تُبَادِرِي وَتَأْتِي لاِسْتِقْبَالِي لَمَا بَقِيَ لِنَابَالَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى قَيْدِ الْحَيَاةِ عِنْدَ مَطْلَعِ ضَوْءِ الصَّبَاحِ».
