هكَذَا تَقُولُونَ لِيُوسُفَ: آهِ! اصْفَحْ عَنْ ذَنْبِ إِخْوَتِكَ وَخَطِيَّتِهِمْ، فَإِنَّهُمْ صَنَعُوا بِكَ شَرًّا. فَالآنَ اصْفَحْ عَنْ ذَنْبِ عَبِيدِ إِلهِ أَبِيكَ». فَبَكَى يُوسُفُ حِينَ كَلَّمُوهُ.

هَكَذَا تَقُولُونَ لِيُوسُفَ: اغْفِرْ لإِخْوَتِكَ ذَنْبَهُمْ وَخَطِيئَتَهُمْ، فَإِنَّهُمْ قَدْ أَسَاءُوا إِلَيْكَ. فَالآنَ اصْفَحْ عَنْ إِثْمِ عَبِيدِ إِلَهِ أَبِيكَ». فَلَمَّا بَلَغَتْهُ رِسَالَتُهُمْ بَكَى يُوسُفُ.
