“The firstborn of every living thing, human or animal, presented to the LORD belongs to you. But you must certainly redeem a human firstborn, and redeem the firstborn of an unclean animal.
كُلُّ فَاتِحِ رَحِمٍ مِنْ كُلِّ جَسَدٍ يُقَدِّمُونَهُ لِلرَّبِّ، مِنَ النَّاسِ وَمِنَ الْبَهَائِمِ، يَكُونُ لَكَ. غَيْرَ أَنَّكَ تَقْبَلُ فِدَاءَ بِكْرِ الإِنْسَانِ. وَبِكْرُ الْبَهِيمَةِ النَّجِسَةِ تَقْبَلُ فِدَاءَهُ.
The Latin Vulgate was translated from the original languages into Latin by Jerome in A.D. 405. For over a millennium, it remained as the preferred translation of the church. This version of the Bible is in the public domain.
