But when Jacob woke up in the morning—it was Leah! “What have you done to me?” Jacob raged at Laban. “I worked seven years for Rachel! Why have you tricked me?”

وَفِي الصَّبَاحِ إِذَا هِيَ لَيْئَةُ، فَقَالَ لِلاَبَانَ: «مَا هذَا الَّذِي صَنَعْتَ بِي؟ أَلَيْسَ بِرَاحِيلَ خَدَمْتُ عِنْدَكَ؟ فَلِمَاذَا خَدَعْتَنِي؟».

وَفِي الصَّبَاحِ اكْتَشَفَ يَعْقُوبُ أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ بِلَيْئَةَ، فَقَالَ لِلابَانَ: «مَاذَا فَعَلْتَ بِي؟ أَلَمْ أَخْدِمْكَ سَبْعَ سَنَوَاتٍ لِقَاءَ زَوَاجِي مِنْ رَاحِيلَ؟ فَلِمَاذَا خَدَعْتَنِي؟».
