Husbands, in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker partner, showing them honor as coheirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.
You husbands G435 in the same G3668 way G3668, live G4924 with your wives in an understanding G1108 way G1108, as with [fn]someone G4632 weaker G772, since she is a woman G1134; and show G632 her honor G5092 as a fellow G4789 heir G4789 of the grace G5485 of life G2222, so G1519 that G1519 your prayers G4335 will not be hindered G1465.
You husbands G435 in the same G3668 way G3668, live G4924 with your wives in an understanding G1108 way G1108, as with a weaker G772 vessel G4632, since she is a woman G1134; and show G632 her honor G5092 as a fellow G4789 heir G4789 of the grace G5485 of life G2222, so G1519 that your prayers G4335 will not be hindered G1465.
In the same way, you husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way [with great gentleness and tact, and with an intelligent regard for the marriage relationship], as with [fn]someone physically weaker, since she is a woman. Show her honor and respect as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered or ineffective.
The Textus Receptus (latin, "Received Text") is the Greek text originally compiled by Erasmus around 1516. Though the earliest work was prepared by Desiderius Erasmus, his work was later revised by Robert Estienne (or, Stephanus) and further revised by Theodore Beza. The text produced by each is substantially the same, aside from some minor variations. The Blue Letter Bible utilizes Stephanus' edition from 1550.
