فَقَالَ الْمَلِكُ: «هذِهِ تَقُولُ: هذَا ابْنِيَ الْحَيُّ وَابْنُكِ الْمَيْتُ، وَتِلْكَ تَقُولُ: لاَ، بَلِ ابْنُكِ الْمَيْتُ وَابْنِيَ الْحَيُّ».

فَقَالَ الْمَلِكُ: «كُلٌّ مِنْكُمَا تَدَّعِي أَنَّ الابْنَ الْحَيَّ هُوَ ابْنُهَا وَأَنَّ الابْنَ الْمَيْتَ هُوَ ابْنُ الأُخْرَى.
