2 Samuel 24:10 - وَبَعْدَ أَنْ تَمَّ إِحْصَاءُ الشَّعْبِ اعْتَرَى النَّدَمُ قَلْبَ دَاوُدَ، فَتَضَرَّعَ إِلَى الرَّبِّ قَائِلاً: «أَخْطَأْتُ جِدّاً بِمَا ارْتَكَبْتُهُ، فَأَرْجُوكَ يَا رَبُّ أَنْ تُزِيلَ إِثْمَ عَبْدِكَ لأَنَّنِي تَصَرَّفْتُ تَصَرُّفاً أَحْمَقَ».
