καὶ εἶπα νῦν καταβήσονται οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι πρός με εἰς Γαλγαλα καὶ τοῦ προσώπου τοῦ κυρίου οὐκ ἐδεήθην καὶ ἐνεκρατευσάμην καὶ ἀνήνεγκα τὴν ὁλοκαύτωσιν

فَقُلْتُ: الآنَ يَنْزِلُ الْفِلِسْطِينِيُّونَ إِلَيَّ إِلَى الْجِلْجَالِ وَلَمْ أَتَضَرَّعْ إِلَى وَجْهِ الرَّبِّ، فَتَجَلَّدْتُ وَأَصْعَدْتُ الْمُحْرَقَةَ».
