وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَخُوكَ قَرِيبًا مِنْكَ أَوْ لَمْ تَعْرِفْهُ، فَضُمَّهُ إِلَى دَاخِلِ بَيْتِكَ. وَيَكُونُ عِنْدَكَ حَتَّى يَطْلُبَهُ أَخُوكَ، حِينَئِذٍ تَرُدُّهُ إِلَيْهِ.

وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ صَاحِبُهُ مُقِيماً قَرِيباً مِنْكَ، أَوْ لَمْ تَعْرِفْهُ، فَاحْتَفِظْ بِهِ فِي بَيْتِكَ حَتَّى يَطْلُبَهُ صَاحِبُهُ فَتَرُدَّهُ إِلَيْهِ.
