καὶ εἶπεν Ιωαβ τοῦτο ἐγὼ ἄρξομαι οὐχ οὕτως μενῶ ἐνώπιόν σου καὶ ἔλαβεν Ιωαβ τρία βέλη ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐνέπηξεν αὐτὰ ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ Αβεσσαλωμ ἔτι αὐτοῦ ζῶντος ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ τῆς δρυὸς

فَقَالَ يُوآبُ: «إِنِّي لاَ أَصْبِرُ هكَذَا أَمَامَكَ». فَأَخَذَ ثَلاَثَةَ سِهَامٍ بِيَدِهِ وَنَشَّبَهَا فِي قَلْبِ أَبْشَالُومَ، وَهُوَ بَعْدُ حَيٌّ فِي قَلْبِ الْبُطْمَةِ.

فَقَال يُوآبُ: «لا يُمْكِنُنِي أَنْ أَصْبِرَ هَكَذَا أَمَامَكَ» وَأَخَذَ بِيَدِهِ ثَلاثَةَ سِهَامٍ أَنْشَبَهَا فِي قَلْبِ أَبْشَالُومَ، وَهُوَ مَا بَرِحَ حَيًّا مُعَلَّقاً بِشَجَرَةِ الْبَلُّوطِ.

And Joab said, I will begin this; I will not thus remain with thee. And Joab took three darts in his hand, and thrust them into the heart of Abessalom, while he was yet alive in the heart of the oak.
