For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear, Nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who acts in behalf of one who waits for Him.

You meet him who rejoices in doing righteousness, Who remembers You in Your ways. Behold, You were angry, for we sinned, [We continued] in our sins for a long time; Yet shall we be saved?

For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, And our wrongdoings, like the wind, take us away.

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,

nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

but [it is the] righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction,

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus,

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

For while we were still helpless, at [the] right time Christ died for the ungodly.

For one will hardly die for a righteous person; though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
