Zophim:
place for a watchman
Zophim:
(watchers) the field of, a spot on or near the top of Pisgah, from which Balaam had his second view of the encampment of Israel (Numbers 23:14). The position of the field of Zophim is not defined. Possibly it is the same place which later in the history is mentioned as Mizpeh‐moab.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
