Husbandman:
one whose business it is to cultivate the ground. It was one of the first occupations, and was esteemed most honourable (Gen 9:20; 26:12,14; 37:7, etc.). All the Hebrews, except those engaged in religious services, were husbandmen. (See AGRICULTURE.)
Husbandman: A Farmer; One Who Tills the Ground.
The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth. Be ye ashamed, O ye HUSBANDMEN; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished. (Joel 1:10-11)

The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
