Arah:
a'-ra ('arach, "traveler"?):
(1) The son of Ulla, an Asherite (1Ch 7:39).
(2) The head of a family that returned from the exile with Zerubbabel (Ezr 2:5; Ne 7:10). He is sometimes identified with Arah of Ne 6:18 whose grand-daughter became the wife of Tobiah, the Ammonite who tried to thwart Nehemiah in rebuilding Jerusalem.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
