Telem:
their dew; their shadow
Telem:
(oppression).
(1.) One of the cities in the extreme south of Judah (Joshua 15:24) probably the same as TELAIM. SEE [TELAIM]. The name Dhullam is found in Van De Velde's map, attached to a district immediately to the north of the Kubbet el‐Baul, south of el Milh and Ar'arah-a position very suitable.
(2.) A porter or doorkeeper of the temple in the time of Ezra (Ezra 10:24). He is probably the same as TALMON in Nehemiah 12:25. SEE [TALMON].
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
