Ephron:
fawn-like. (1.) The son of Zohar a Hittite, the owner of the field and cave of Machpelah (q.v.), which Abraham bought for 400 shekels of silver (Gen 23:8-17; 25:9; 49:29,30).
(2.) A mountain range which formed one of the landmarks on the north boundary of the tribe of Judah (Jos 15:9), probably the range on the west side of the Wady Beit-Hanina.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
