Shaul:
(asked).
(1.) The son of Simeon by a Canaanitish woman (Genesis 48:10; Exodus 6:15; Numbers 26:13; 1 Chronicles 4:24) and founder of the family of the Shaulites. (B.C. 1712)
(2.) One of the kings of Edom (1 Chronicles 1:48, 49). In the Authorized Version of Genesis 36:37, he is less accurately called SAUL.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
