Jeshurun:
(supremely happy) and once by mistake in Authorized Version JESURUN (Isaiah 44:2) a symbolical name for Israel in Deuteronomy 32:15; 33:5; 33:26; Isaiah 44:2. It is most probably derived from a root signifying "to be blessed." With the intensive termination Jeshurun would then denote Israel as supremely happy or prosperous, and to this signification the context in Deuteronomy 32:15 points.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
