Cities of Refuge:
six Levitical cities specially chosen for refuge to the involuntary homicide until released from banishment by the death of the high priest (Numbers 35:6; 35:13; 35:15; Joshua 20:2; 20:7; 20:9). There were three on each side of Jordan.
