Psalm 132 :: Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

Psa 132:1

Psa 132:1A Song of the Ascents. Remember, Jehovah, for David, all his afflictions.

Psa 132:2

Psa 132:2Who hath sworn to Jehovah. He hath vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

Psa 132:3

Psa 132:3'If I enter into the tent of my house, If I go up on the couch of my bed,

Psa 132:4

Psa 132:4If I give sleep to mine eyes, To mine eyelids -- slumber,

Psa 132:5

Psa 132:5Till I do find a place for Jehovah, Tabernacles for the Mighty One of Jacob.

Psa 132:6

Psa 132:6'Lo, we have heard it in Ephratah, We have found it in the fields of the forest.

Psa 132:7

Psa 132:7We come in to His tabernacles, We bow ourselves at His footstool.

Psa 132:8

Psa 132:8Arise, O Jehovah, to Thy rest, Thou, and the ark of Thy strength,

Psa 132:9

Psa 132:9Thy priests do put on righteousness, And Thy pious ones cry aloud.

Psa 132:10

Psa 132:10For the sake of David Thy servant, Turn not back the face of Thine anointed.

Psa 132:11

Psa 132:11Jehovah hath sworn truth to David, He turneth not back from it: Of the fruit of thy body, I set on the throne for thee.

Psa 132:12

Psa 132:12If thy sons keep My covenant, And My testimonies that I teach them, Their sons also for ever and ever, Do sit on the throne for thee.

Psa 132:13

Psa 132:13For Jehovah hath fixed on Zion, He hath desired it for a seat to Himself,

Psa 132:14

Psa 132:14This is My rest for ever and ever, Here do I sit, for I have desired it.

Psa 132:15

Psa 132:15Her provision I greatly bless, Her needy ones I satisfy with bread,

Psa 132:16

Psa 132:16And her priests I clothe with salvation, And her pious ones do sing aloud.

Psa 132:17

Psa 132:17There I cause to spring up a horn for David, I have arranged a lamp for Mine anointed.

Psa 132:18

Psa 132:18His enemies I do clothe with shame, And upon him doth his crown flourish!
