Psalm 97 :: Revised Standard Version (RSV)

Psa 97:1

Psa 97:1The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad!

Psa 97:2

Psa 97:2Clouds and thick darkness are round about him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

Psa 97:3

Psa 97:3Fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries round about.

Psa 97:4

Psa 97:4His lightnings lighten the world; the earth sees and trembles.

Psa 97:5

Psa 97:5The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.

Psa 97:6

Psa 97:6The heavens proclaim his righteousness; and all the peoples behold his glory.

Psa 97:7

Psa 97:7All worshipers of images are put to shame, who make their boast in worthless idols; all gods bow down before him.

Psa 97:8

Psa 97:8Zion hears and is glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of thy judgments, O God.

Psa 97:9

Psa 97:9For thou, O LORD, art most high over all the earth; thou art exalted far above all gods.

Psa 97:10

Psa 97:10The LORD loves those who hate evil; he preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Psa 97:11

Psa 97:11Light dawns for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.

Psa 97:12

Psa 97:12Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous, and give thanks to his holy name!
