Psalm 29 :: Revised Standard Version (RSV)

Psa 29:1

Psa 29:1A Psalm of David. Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

Psa 29:2

Psa 29:2Ascribe to the LORD the glory of his name; worship the LORD in holy array.

Psa 29:3

Psa 29:3The voice of the LORD is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD, upon many waters.

Psa 29:4

Psa 29:4The voice of the LORD is powerful, the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.

Psa 29:5

Psa 29:5The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars, the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.

Psa 29:6

Psa 29:6He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf, and Si'rion like a young wild ox.

Psa 29:7

Psa 29:7The voice of the LORD flashes forth flames of fire.

Psa 29:8

Psa 29:8The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness, the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

Psa 29:9

Psa 29:9The voice of the LORD makes the oaks to whirl, and strips the forests bare; and in his temple all cry, "Glory!"

Psa 29:10

Psa 29:10The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD sits enthroned as king for ever.

Psa 29:11

Psa 29:11May the LORD give strength to his people! May the LORD bless his people with peace!
