Psalm 87 :: New Living Translation (NLT)

Psa 87:1A song. A psalm of the descendants of Korah.

On the holy mountain
stands the city founded by the LORD.
Psa 87:2He loves the city of Jerusalem
more than any other city in Israel.[fn]
Psa 87:3O city of God,
what glorious things are said of you!
Interlude
Psa 87:4I will count Egypt[fn] and Babylon among those who know me—
also Philistia and Tyre, and even distant Ethiopia.[fn]
They have all become citizens of Jerusalem!
Psa 87:5Regarding Jerusalem[fn] it will be said,
“Everyone enjoys the rights of citizenship there.”
And the Most High will personally bless this city.
Psa 87:6When the LORD registers the nations, he will say,
“They have all become citizens of Jerusalem.”
Interlude
Psa 87:7The people will play flutes[fn] and sing,
“The source of my life springs from Jerusalem!”
