A Plea for Deliverance and Forgiveness

Psa 25:1

Psa 25:1A Psalm of David.

To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.

Psa 25:2

Psa 25:2O my God, I trust in You;
Let me not be ashamed;
Let not my enemies triumph over me.

Psa 25:3

Psa 25:3Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed;
Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.

Psa 25:4

Psa 25:4Show me Your ways, O LORD;
Teach me Your paths.

Psa 25:5

Psa 25:5Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day.

Psa 25:6

Psa 25:6Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses,
For they are from of old.

Psa 25:7

Psa 25:7Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions;
According to Your mercy remember me,
For Your goodness’ sake, O LORD.

Psa 25:8

Psa 25:8Good and upright is the LORD;
Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.

Psa 25:9

Psa 25:9The humble He guides in justice,
And the humble He teaches His way.

Psa 25:10

Psa 25:10All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth,
To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.

Psa 25:11

Psa 25:11For Your name’s sake, O LORD,
Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.

Psa 25:12

Psa 25:12Who is the man that fears the LORD?
Him shall He[fn] teach in the way He[fn] chooses.

Psa 25:13

Psa 25:13He himself shall dwell in prosperity,
And his descendants shall inherit the earth.

Psa 25:14

Psa 25:14The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him,
And He will show them His covenant.

Psa 25:15

Psa 25:15My eyes are ever toward the LORD,
For He shall pluck my feet out of the net.

Psa 25:16

Psa 25:16Turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me,
For I am desolate and afflicted.

Psa 25:17

Psa 25:17The troubles of my heart have enlarged;
Bring me out of my distresses!

Psa 25:18

Psa 25:18Look on my affliction and my pain,
And forgive all my sins.

Psa 25:19

Psa 25:19Consider my enemies, for they are many;
And they hate me with cruel hatred.

Psa 25:20

Psa 25:20Keep my soul, and deliver me;
Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You.

Psa 25:21

Psa 25:21Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,
For I wait for You.

Psa 25:22

Psa 25:22Redeem Israel, O God,
Out of all their troubles!
