Psalm 8 :: New International Version (NIV)

Psa 8:1[fn]For the director of music. According to gittith.[fn] A psalm of David. LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.
Psa 8:2Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
Psa 8:3When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
Psa 8:4what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?[fn]
Psa 8:5You have made them[fn] a little lower than the angels[fn] and crowned them[fn] with glory and honor.
Psa 8:6You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their[fn] feet:
Psa 8:7all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild,
Psa 8:8the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.
Psa 8:9LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
