Psalm 148 :: New English Translation (NET)

Psa 148:1

Psa 148:1Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the sky! Praise him in the heavens!

Psa 148:2

Psa 148:2Praise him, all his angels! Praise him, all his heavenly assembly!

Psa 148:3

Psa 148:3Praise him, O sun and moon! Praise him, all you shiny stars!

Psa 148:4

Psa 148:4Praise him, O highest heaven, and you waters above the sky!

Psa 148:5

Psa 148:5Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he gave the command and they came into existence.

Psa 148:6

Psa 148:6He established them so they would endure; he issued a decree that will not be revoked.

Psa 148:7

Psa 148:7Praise the LORD from the earth, you sea creatures and all you ocean depths,

Psa 148:8

Psa 148:8O fire and hail, snow and clouds, O stormy wind that carries out his orders,

Psa 148:9

Psa 148:9you mountains and all you hills, you fruit trees and all you cedars,

Psa 148:10

Psa 148:10you animals and all you cattle, you creeping things and birds,

Psa 148:11

Psa 148:11you kings of the earth and all you nations, you princes and all you leaders on the earth,

Psa 148:12

Psa 148:12you young men and young women, you elderly, along with you children!

Psa 148:13

Psa 148:13Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty extends over the earth and sky.

Psa 148:14

Psa 148:14He has made his people victorious, and given all his loyal followers reason to praise - the Israelites, the people who are close to him. Praise the LORD!
