Psalm 114 :: New English Translation (NET)

Psa 114:1When Israel left Egypt, when the family of Jacob left a foreign nation behind,
Psa 114:2Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his kingdom.
Psa 114:3The sea looked and fled; the Jordan River turned back.
Psa 114:4The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.
Psa 114:5Why do you flee, O sea? Why do you turn back, O Jordan River?
Psa 114:6Why do you skip like rams, O mountains, like lambs, O hills?
Psa 114:7Tremble, O earth, before the Lord - before the God of Jacob,
Psa 114:8who turned a rock into a pool of water, a hard rock into springs of water!
