Duties of the Older and Younger

Tit 2:1But as for you, speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine.

Tit 2:2Older men are to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in [fn]perseverance.

Tit 2:3Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good,

Tit 2:4

Tit 2:4so that they may [fn]encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

Tit 2:5

Tit 2:5to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.

Tit 2:6

Tit 2:6Likewise urge the young men to be [fn]sensible;

Tit 2:7

Tit 2:7in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with [fn]purity in doctrine, dignified,

Tit 2:8

Tit 2:8sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.

Tit 2:9

Tit 2:9Urge bondslaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not [fn]argumentative,

Tit 2:10

Tit 2:10not pilfering, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect.

Tit 2:11

Tit 2:11For the grace of God has appeared, [fn]bringing salvation to all men,

Tit 2:12

Tit 2:12 [fn]instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age,

Tit 2:13

Tit 2:13looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of [fn]our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,

Tit 2:14

Tit 2:14who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.

Tit 2:15

Tit 2:15These things speak and exhort and reprove with all [fn]authority. Let no one disregard you.
