Psalm 96 :: New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB95)

A Call to Worship the LORD the Righteous Judge.

Psa 96:1Sing to the LORD a new song;
Sing to the LORD, all the earth.
Psa 96:2Sing to the LORD, bless His name;
Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.
Psa 96:3Tell of His glory among the nations,
His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.
Psa 96:4For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods.
Psa 96:5For all the gods of the peoples are [fn]idols,
But the LORD made the heavens.
Psa 96:6Splendor and majesty are before Him,
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
Psa 96:7[fn]Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples,
[fn]Ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
Psa 96:8[fn]Ascribe to the LORD the glory of His name;
Bring an [fn]offering and come into His courts.
Psa 96:9Worship the LORD in [fn]holy attire;
Tremble before Him, all the earth.
Psa 96:10Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns;
Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved;
He will judge the peoples with [fn]equity.”
Psa 96:11Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;
Let the sea [fn]roar, and [fn]all it contains;
Psa 96:12Let the field exult, and all that is in it.
Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy
Psa 96:13Before the LORD, for He is coming,
For He is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
And the peoples in His faithfulness.
