Psalm 82 :: New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB95)

Unjust Judgments Rebuked.

Psa 82:1A Psalm of Asaph.
God takes His stand in [fn]His own congregation;
He judges in the midst of the [fn]rulers.
Psa 82:2How long will you judge unjustly
And show partiality to the wicked? [fn]Selah.
Psa 82:3Vindicate the weak and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.
Psa 82:4Rescue the weak and needy;
Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.
Psa 82:5They do not know nor do they understand;
They walk about in darkness;
All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
Psa 82:6[fn]I said, “You are gods,
And all of you are sons of the Most High.
Psa 82:7“Nevertheless you will die like men
And fall like any one of the princes.”
Psa 82:8Arise, O God, judge the earth!
For it is You who possesses all the nations.
