The Victorious Power of the God of Jacob.

Psa 76:1For the choir director; on stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph, a Song.
God is known in Judah;
His name is great in Israel.
Psa 76:2His [fn]tabernacle is in Salem;
His dwelling place also is in Zion.
Psa 76:3There He broke the [fn]flaming arrows,
The shield and the sword and the [fn]weapons of war. [fn]Selah.
Psa 76:4You are resplendent,
[fn]More majestic than the mountains of prey.
Psa 76:5The stouthearted were plundered,
[fn]They sank into sleep;
And none of the [fn]warriors could use his hands.
Psa 76:6At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob,
Both [fn]rider and horse were cast into a dead sleep.
Psa 76:7You, even You, are to be feared;
And who may stand in Your presence when once [fn]You are angry?
Psa 76:8You caused judgment to be heard from heaven;
The earth feared and was still
Psa 76:9When God arose to judgment,
To save all the humble of the earth. Selah.
Psa 76:10For the [fn]wrath of man shall praise You;
With a remnant of wrath You will gird Yourself.
Psa 76:11Make vows to the LORD your God and fulfill them;
Let all who are around Him bring gifts to Him who is to be feared.
Psa 76:12He will cut off the spirit of princes;
He is [fn]feared by the kings of the earth.
