Prayer for Defense against Enemies.

Psa 54:1For the choir director; on stringed instruments. A [fn]Maskil of David, [fn]when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, “Is not David hiding himself among us?”
Save me, O God, by Your name,
And [fn]vindicate me by Your power.
Psa 54:2Hear my prayer, O God;
Give ear to the words of my mouth.
Psa 54:3For strangers have risen against me
And violent men have sought my [fn]life;
They have not set God before them. [fn]Selah.
Psa 54:4Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is [fn]the sustainer of my soul.
Psa 54:5[fn]He will recompense the evil to [fn]my foes;
[fn]Destroy them in Your [fn]faithfulness.
Psa 54:6[fn]Willingly I will sacrifice to You;
I will give thanks to Your name, O LORD, for it is good.
Psa 54:7For [fn]He has delivered me from all [fn]trouble,
And my eye has looked with satisfaction upon my enemies.
