Psalm 3 :: New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB95)

Morning Prayer of Trust in God.

Psa 3:1A Psalm of David, when [fn]he fled from Absalom his son.
O LORD, how my adversaries have increased!
Many are rising up against me.
Psa 3:2Many are saying [fn]of my soul,
“There is no [fn]deliverance for him in God.” [fn]Selah.
Psa 3:3But You, O LORD, are a shield about me,
My glory, and the One who lifts my head.
Psa 3:4I was crying to the LORD with my voice,
And He answered me from His holy [fn]mountain. Selah.
Psa 3:5[fn]I lay down and slept;
I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.
Psa 3:6I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people
Who have set themselves against me round about.
Psa 3:7Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God!
For You [fn]have smitten all my enemies on the [fn]cheek;
You [fn]have shattered the teeth of the wicked.
Psa 3:8[fn]Salvation belongs to the LORD;
Your blessing [fn]be upon Your people! Selah.
