Psalm 23 :: New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB95)

The LORD, the Psalmist's Shepherd.

Psa 23:1A Psalm of David.
The LORD is my shepherd,
I [fn]shall not want.
Psa 23:2He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside [fn]quiet waters.
Psa 23:3He restores my soul;
He guides me in the [fn]paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Psa 23:4Even though I walk through the [fn]valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no [fn]evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Psa 23:5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You [fn]have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
Psa 23:6[fn]Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will [fn]dwell in the house of the LORD [fn]forever.
