Psalm 146 :: New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB95)

The LORD an Abundant Helper.

Psa 146:1[fn]Praise [fn]the LORD!
Praise the LORD, O my soul!
Psa 146:2I will praise the LORD while I live;
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
Psa 146:3Do not trust in princes,
In [fn]mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.
Psa 146:4His spirit departs, he returns to [fn]the earth;
In that very day his thoughts perish.
Psa 146:5How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose hope is in the LORD his God,
Psa 146:6Who made heaven and earth,
The sea and all that is in them;
Who keeps [fn]faith forever;
Psa 146:7Who executes justice for the oppressed;
Who gives food to the hungry.
The LORD sets the prisoners free.
Psa 146:8The LORD opens the eyes of the blind;
The LORD raises up those who are bowed down;
The LORD loves the righteous;
Psa 146:9The LORD [fn]protects the [fn]strangers;
He [fn]supports the fatherless and the widow,
But He [fn]thwarts the way of the wicked.
Psa 146:10The LORD will reign forever,
Your God, O Zion, to all generations.
[fn]Praise [fn]the LORD!
