Psalm 108 :: New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB95)

God Praised and Supplicated to Give Victory.

Psa 108:1A Song, a Psalm of David.
My heart is steadfast, O God;
I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my [fn]soul.
Psa 108:2Awake, harp and lyre;
I will awaken the dawn!
Psa 108:3I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the peoples,
And I will sing praises to You among the nations.
Psa 108:4For Your lovingkindness is great above the heavens,
And Your truth reaches to the skies.
Psa 108:5Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
And Your glory above all the earth.
Psa 108:6That Your beloved may be delivered,
Save with Your right hand, and answer me!
Psa 108:7God has spoken in His [fn]holiness:
“I will exult, I will portion out Shechem
And measure out the valley of Succoth.
Psa 108:8“Gilead is Mine, Manasseh is Mine;
Ephraim also is the [fn]helmet of My head;
Judah is My [fn]scepter.
Psa 108:9“Moab is My washbowl;
Over Edom I shall throw My shoe;
Over Philistia I will shout aloud.”
Psa 108:10Who will bring me into the besieged city?
Who [fn]will lead me to Edom?
Psa 108:11Have not You Yourself, O God, rejected us?
And will You not go forth with our armies, O God?
Psa 108:12Oh give us help against the adversary,
For deliverance [fn]by man is in vain.
Psa 108:13[fn]Through God we will do valiantly,
And it is He who shall tread down our adversaries.
