The Woman, Israel

A great^G3173 sign^G4592 appeared^G3708 in heaven^G3772: a woman^G1135 clothed^G4016 with the sun^G2246, and the moon^G4582 under^G5270 her feet^G4228, and on her head^G2776 a crown^G4735 of twelve^G1427 stars^G792;

Rev 12:2

Rev 12:2and she was pregnant and she *cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.

The Red Dragon, Satan

Rev 12:3

Rev 12:3Then another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven crowns.

Rev 12:4

Rev 12:4And his tail *swept away a third of the stars of heaven and hurled them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her Child.

The Male Child, Christ

Rev 12:5

Rev 12:5And she gave birth to a Son, a male, who is going to [fn]rule all the [fn]nations with a rod of iron; and her Child was caught up to God and to His throne.

Rev 12:6

Rev 12:6Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she *had a place prepared by God, so that there [fn]she would be nourished for 1,260 days.

The Angel, Michael

Rev 12:7

And there was war^G4171 in heaven^G3772, Michael^G3413 and his angels^G32 waging^G4170 war^G4171 with the dragon^G1404. The dragon^G1404 and his angels^G32 waged^G4170 war^G4171,

Rev 12:8

Rev 12:8and they did not prevail, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.

Rev 12:9

Rev 12:9And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole [fn]world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Rev 12:10

Rev 12:10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying,

“Now^G737 the salvation^G4991, and the power^G1411, and the kingdom^G932 of our God^G2316 and the authority^G1849 of His Christ^G5547 have come^G1096, for the accuser^G6051 of our brothers^G80 and sisters has been thrown^G906 down, the one who accuses^G2723 them before^G1799 our God^G2316 day^G2250 and night^G3571.

Rev 12:11

Rev 12:11“And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even [fn]when faced with death.

Rev 12:12

Rev 12:12“For this reason, rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you with great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.”

Rev 12:13

And when^G3753 the dragon^G1404 saw^G3708 that he was thrown^G906 down to the earth^G1093, he persecuted^G1377 the woman^G1135 who^G3748 gave^G5088 birth^G5088 to the male^G730 Child.

Rev 12:14

Rev 12:14But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she *was nourished for a time, times, and half a time, away from the presence of the serpent.

Rev 12:15

Rev 12:15And the serpent hurled water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood.

Rev 12:16

Rev 12:16 [fn]But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon had hurled out of his mouth.

Rev 12:17

Rev 12:17So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her [fn]children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
