Psalm 87 :: New American Standard Bible 2020 (NASB20)

The Privileges of Citizenship in Zion.

Psa 87:1

A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A Song.

His foundation is in the holy mountains.

Psa 87:2

The LORD loves the gates of Zion

More than all the other dwelling places of Jacob.

Psa 87:3

Glorious things are spoken of you,

City of God. Selah

Psa 87:4

“I shall mention [fn]Rahab and Babylon [fn]among those who know Me;

Behold, Philistia and Tyre with [fn]Cush:

‘This one was born there.’”

Psa 87:5

But of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one were born in her”;

And the Most High Himself will establish her.

Psa 87:6

The LORD will count when He registers the peoples,

“This one was born there.” Selah

Psa 87:7

Then those who sing as well as those who [fn]play the flutes will say,

“All my springs of joy are in you.”
