Psalm 23 :: New American Standard Bible 2020 (NASB20)

The LORD, the Psalmist’s Shepherd.

Psa 23:1

A Psalm of David.

The LORD is my shepherd,

I will not be in need.

Psa 23:2

He lets me lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside [fn]quiet waters.

Psa 23:3

He restores my soul;

He guides me in the [fn]paths of righteousness

For the sake of His name.

Psa 23:4

Even though I walk through the [fn]valley of the shadow of death,

I fear no [fn]evil, for You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Psa 23:5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;

You [fn]have anointed my head with oil;

My cup overflows.

Psa 23:6

[fn]Certainly goodness and [fn]faithfulness will follow me all the days of my life,

And my dwelling will be in the house of the LORD [fn]forever.
