The LORD, a Refuge and Defense.

Psa 11:1

For the music director. A Psalm of David.

In the LORD^H3068 I take^H2620 refuge^H2620;

How^H349 can you say^H559 to my soul^H5315, “Flee^H5110 as a bird^H6833 to your mountain^H2022?

Psa 11:2

“For, behold^H2009, the wicked^H7563 bend^H1869 the bow^H7198,

They have [fn]set^H3559 their arrow^H2671 on the string^H3499

To shoot^H3384 in darkness^H652 at the upright^H3477 in heart^H3820.

Psa 11:3

“If^H3588 the foundations^H8356 are destroyed^H2040,

What^H4100 can the righteous^H6662 do^H6466?”

Psa 11:4

The LORD^H3068 is in His holy^H6944 temple^H1964; the [fn]LORD’S^H3068 throne^H3678 is in heaven^H8064;

His eyes^H5869 see^H2372, His eyelids^H6079 test^H974 the sons^H1121 of mankind^H120.

Psa 11:5

The LORD^H3068 tests^H974 the righteous^H6662 and the wicked^H7563,

And His soul^H5315 hates^H8130 one who loves^H157 violence^H2555.

Psa 11:6

He will rain^H4305 [fn]coals^H6352 of fire^H784 upon the wicked^H7563,

And brimstone^H1614 and burning^H2152 wind^H7307 will be the portion^H4521 of their cup^H3563.

Psa 11:7

For the LORD^H3068 is righteous^H6662, He loves^H157 [fn]righteousness^H6666;

The upright^H3477 will see^H2372 His face^H6440.
