Review of the Journey from Egypt to Jordan

These^H428 are the journeys^H4550 of the sons^H1121 of Israel^H3478, by which^H834 they came^H3318 out^H3318 of the land^H776 of Egypt^H4714 by their armies^H6635, [fn]under the leadership^H3027 of Moses^H4872 and Aaron^H175.

Num 33:2

Num 33:2Moses recorded their starting places according to their journeys by the [fn]command of the LORD, and these are their journeys according to their starting places.

Num 33:3

Num 33:3Now they journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after the Passover the sons of Israel started out [fn]boldly in the sight of all the Egyptians,

Num 33:4

Num 33:4while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn whom the LORD had fatally struck among them. The LORD had also executed judgments against their gods.

Num 33:5

Then the sons^H1121 of Israel^H3478 journeyed^H5265 from Rameses^H7486 and camped^H2583 in Succoth^H5523.

Num 33:6

Num 33:6They journeyed from Succoth and camped in Etham, which is on the edge of the wilderness.

Num 33:7

Num 33:7Then they journeyed from Etham and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, which faces Baal-zephon; and they camped before Migdol.

Num 33:8

Num 33:8They journeyed [fn]from Pi-hahiroth and passed through the midst of the sea to the wilderness; and they went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham and camped at Marah.

Num 33:9

Num 33:9They journeyed from Marah and came to Elim; and in Elim there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they camped there.

Num 33:10They journeyed from Elim and camped by the [fn]Red Sea.

Num 33:11

Num 33:11And they journeyed from the [fn]Red Sea and camped in the wilderness of Sin.

Num 33:12

Num 33:12They journeyed from the wilderness of Sin and camped at Dophkah.

Num 33:13

Num 33:13They journeyed from Dophkah and camped at Alush.

Num 33:14

Num 33:14And they journeyed from Alush and camped at Rephidim; now it was there that the people had no water to drink.

Num 33:15And they journeyed from Rephidim and camped in the wilderness of Sinai.

Num 33:16They journeyed from the wilderness of Sinai, and camped at Kibroth-hattaavah.

Num 33:17

Num 33:30They journeyed from Hashmonah and camped at Moseroth.

Num 33:31They journeyed from Moseroth and camped at Bene-jaakan.

Num 33:32They journeyed from Bene-jaakan and camped at Hor-haggidgad.

Num 33:33They journeyed from Hor-haggidgad and camped at Jotbathah.

Num 33:34

Num 33:34They journeyed from Jotbathah and camped at Abronah.

Num 33:35

Num 33:35They journeyed from Abronah and camped at Ezion-geber.

Num 33:36

Num 33:36They journeyed from Ezion-geber and camped in the wilderness of Zin, that is, Kadesh.

Num 33:37

Num 33:37They journeyed from Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor, at the edge of the land of Edom.

Num 33:38

Then Aaron^H175 the priest^H3548 went^H5927 up^H5927 to Mount^H2022 Hor^H2023 at the [fn]command^H6310 of the LORD^H3068, and died^H4191 there^H8033 in the fortieth^H705 year^H8141 after the sons^H1121 of Israel^H3478 had come^H3318 from the land^H776 of Egypt^H4714, on the first^H259 day in the fifth^H2549 month^H2320.

Num 33:39

Num 33:39Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.

Num 33:40

Now the Canaanite^H3669, the king^H4428 of Arad^H6166 [fn]who^H1931 lived^H3427 in the [fn]Negev^H5045 in the land^H776 of Canaan^H3667, heard^H8085 about the coming^H935 of the sons^H1121 of Israel^H3478.

Num 33:41

Then they journeyed^H5265 from Mount^H2022 Hor^H2023 and camped^H2583 at Zalmonah^H6758.

Num 33:42

Num 33:42They journeyed from Zalmonah and camped at Punon.

Num 33:43

Num 33:43They journeyed from Punon and camped at Oboth.

Num 33:44

Num 33:44They journeyed from Oboth and camped at Iye-abarim, at the border of Moab.

Num 33:45

Num 33:45They journeyed from Iyim and camped at Dibon-gad.

Num 33:46

Num 33:46They journeyed from Dibon-gad and camped at Almon-diblathaim.

Num 33:47

Num 33:47They journeyed from Almon-diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

Num 33:48

Num 33:48They journeyed from the mountains of Abarim and camped in the plains of Moab, by the Jordan opposite Jericho.

Num 33:49

Num 33:49They camped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim, in the plains of Moab.

Law for Possessing the Land

Num 33:50

Then the LORD^H3068 spoke^H1696 to Moses^H4872 in the plains^H6160 of Moab^H4124 by the Jordan^H3383 opposite Jericho^H3405, saying^H559,

Num 33:51

Num 33:51“Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

Num 33:52

Num 33:52you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from you, and destroy all their idolatrous sculptures, destroy all their cast metal images, and eliminate all their high places;

Num 33:53

Num 33:53and you shall take possession of the land and live in it, for I have given the land to you to possess it.

Num 33:54

Num 33:54‘You shall maintain the land as an inheritance by lot according to your families; to the larger you shall give more inheritance, and to the smaller you shall give less inheritance. Wherever the lot falls to anyone, that shall be his. You shall pass on land as an inheritance according to the tribes of your fathers.

Num 33:55

Num 33:55‘But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from you, then it will come about that those whom you let remain of them will be like thorns in your eyes and like pricks in your sides, and they will trouble you in the land in which you live.

Num 33:56

Num 33:56‘And just as I plan to do to them, I will do to you.’”
