“Therefore ^H3651 my disquieting ^H5587 thoughts ^H5587 make me [fn]respond ^H7725,

Even because ^H5668 of my [fn]inward agitation ^H2363.

“I listened ^H8085 to the reprimand ^H4148 which insults ^H3639 me,

And the spirit ^H7307 of my understanding ^H998 makes me answer ^H6030.

“Do you know ^H3045 this ^H2088 from ancient ^H5703 times ^H5703,

From the establishment ^H7760 of mankind ^H120 on earth ^H776,

That the rejoicing ^H7445 of the wicked ^H7563 is short ^H4480 H7138,

And the joy ^H8057 of the godless ^H2611 momentary ^H5704 H7281?

“Though ^H518 his arrogance ^H7863 [fn]reaches ^H5927 the heavens ^H8064,

And his head ^H7218 touches ^H5060 the clouds ^H5645,

He perishes ^H6 forever ^H5331 like his refuse ^H1561;

Those who have seen ^H7200 him will say ^H559, ‘Where ^H335 is he?’

“He flies ^H5774 away ^H5774 like a dream ^H2472, and they cannot ^H3808 find ^H4672 him;

As to the riches ^H2428 of his trading ^H8545,

He cannot ^H3808 even enjoy ^H5965 them.

“For he has oppressed ^H7533 and neglected ^H5800 the poor ^H1800;

He has seized ^H1497 a house ^H1004 which he has not built ^H1129.

He does not retain ^H4422 anything he desires ^H2530.

“Nothing ^H369 remains ^H8300 [fn]for him to devour ^H398,

Therefore ^H5921 H3651 his prosperity ^H2898 does not endure ^H2342.

“In the fullness ^H4390 of his excess ^H5607 he will be cramped ^H6887;

The hand ^H3027 of everyone ^H3605 who ^H6001 suffers ^H6001 will come ^H935 against him.

“When he fills ^H4390 his belly ^H990,

It will consume ^H7462 the survivor ^H8300 in his tent ^H168.

“The increase ^H2981 of his house ^H1004 will disappear ^H1540;

His possessions will flow ^H5064 away on the day ^H3117 of His anger ^H639.

“This ^H2088 is a wicked ^H7563 person’s ^H120 portion ^H2506 from God ^H430,

The inheritance ^H5159 decreed ^H561 to him by God ^H410.”
