Again ^H3254 the LORD ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to me further ^H5750, saying ^H559,

“Inasmuch ^H3282 H3588 as these ^H2088 people ^H5971 have rejected ^H3988 the gently ^H328 flowing ^H1980 waters ^H4325 of Shiloah ^H7975

And rejoice ^H4885 in Rezin ^H7526 and the son ^H1121 of Remaliah ^H7425;

Now therefore ^H3651, behold ^H2009, the Lord ^H136 is about to bring ^H5927 on them the strong ^H6099 and abundant ^H7227 waters ^H4325 of the Euphrates River ^H5104,

That is, the king ^H4428 of Assyria ^H804 and all ^H3605 his glory ^H3519;

And it will rise ^H5927 over ^H5921 all ^H3605 its channels ^H650 and go ^H1980 over ^H5921 all ^H3605 its banks ^H1415.

“Then it will sweep ^H2498 on ^H2498 into Judah ^H3063, it will overflow ^H7857 and pass ^H5674 through ^H5674,

It will reach ^H5060 as far ^H5704 as the neck ^H6677;

And the spread ^H4298 of its wings ^H3671 will [fn]fill ^H4393 the expanse ^H7341 of [fn]your land ^H776, Immanuel ^H6005.

“Be broken ^H7489, you peoples ^H5971, and be [fn]shattered ^H2865;

And listen ^H238, all ^H3605 remote ^H4801 places ^H4801 of the earth ^H776.

[fn]Get ^H247 ready ^H247, yet be [fn]shattered ^H2865;

“Devise ^H5779 a plan ^H6098, but it will fail ^H6565;

State ^H1696 a [fn]proposal ^H1697, but it will not stand ^H6965,

For [fn]God ^H410 is with us.”

For so ^H3541 the LORD ^H3068 spoke ^H559 to me [fn]with mighty ^H2393 power ^H3027 and instructed ^H3256 me not to walk ^H1980 in the way ^H1870 of this ^H2088 people ^H5971, saying ^H559,

“You are not to say ^H559, ‘It is a conspiracy ^H7195!’

Regarding everything ^H3605 that this ^H2088 people ^H5971 call ^H559 a conspiracy ^H7195,

And you are not to fear ^H3372 [fn]what ^H4172 they fear ^H4172 or be ^H6206 in ^H6206 dread ^H6206 of it.

“It is the LORD ^H3068 of armies ^H6635 whom you are to regard ^H6942 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942.

And He shall be your fear ^H4172,

And He shall be ^H6206 your dread ^H6206.

“Then He will become ^H1961 a sanctuary ^H4720;

But to both ^H8147 houses ^H1004 of Israel ^H3478, He will be a stone ^H68 of stumbling ^H5063 and a rock ^H6697 [fn]of offense ^H4383,

And a snare ^H6341 and a trap ^H4170 for the inhabitants ^H3427 of Jerusalem ^H3389.

“Many ^H7227 will stumble ^H3782 over them,

Then they will fall ^H5307 and be broken ^H7665;

They will be snared ^H3369 and caught ^H3920.”

Bind ^H6887 up ^H6887 the testimony ^H8584, seal ^H2856 the [fn]Law ^H8451 among my disciples ^H3928.

When ^H3588 they say ^H559 to you, “Consult ^H1875 the mediums ^H178 and the spiritists ^H3049 who whisper ^H6850 and mutter ^H1897,” should a people ^H5971 not consult ^H1875 their God ^H430? Should they consult the dead ^H4191 in behalf ^H1157 of the living ^H2416?
