Isaiah 54 :: New American Standard Bible 2020 (NASB20)

“Enlarge ^H7337 the place ^H4725 of your tent ^H168;

[fn]Stretch ^H5186 out ^H5186 the curtains ^H3407 of your dwellings ^H4908, do not spare ^H2820 them;

Lengthen ^H748 your ropes ^H4340

And strengthen ^H2388 your pegs ^H3489.

“For you will spread ^H6555 out ^H6555 to the right ^H3225 and to the left ^H8040.

And your [fn]descendants ^H2233 will possess ^H3423 nations ^H1471

And will resettle ^H3427 the desolate ^H8074 cities ^H5892.

“Fear ^H3372 not, for you will not be put ^H954 to ^H954 shame ^H954;

And do not feel ^H3637 humiliated ^H3637, for you will not be disgraced ^H2659;

But you will forget ^H7911 the shame ^H1322 of your youth ^H5934,

And no ^H3808 longer ^H5750 remember ^H2142 the disgrace ^H2781 of your widowhood ^H491.

“For your husband ^H1166 is your Maker ^H6213,

Whose name ^H8034 is the LORD ^H3068 of armies ^H6635;

And your Redeemer ^H1350 is the Holy ^H6918 One ^H6918 of Israel ^H3478,

Who is called ^H7121 the God ^H430 of all ^H3605 the earth ^H776.

“For the LORD ^H3068 has called ^H7121 you,

Like a wife ^H802 forsaken ^H5800 and grieved ^H6087 in spirit ^H7307,

Even like a wife ^H802 of one’s youth ^H5271 when ^H3588 she is rejected ^H3988,”

Says ^H559 your God ^H430.

“[fn]For a brief ^H6996 moment ^H7281 I abandoned ^H5800 you,

But with great ^H1419 compassion ^H7356 I will gather ^H6908 you.

“In an [fn]outburst ^H7858 of anger ^H7110

I hid ^H5641 My face ^H6440 from you for a moment ^H7281,

But with everlasting ^H5769 favor ^H2617 I will have ^H7355 compassion ^H7355 on ^H7355 you,”

Says ^H559 the LORD ^H3068 your Redeemer ^H1350.

“For [fn]this ^H2088 is like the days ^H3117 of Noah ^H5146 to Me,

When ^H834 I swore ^H7650 that the waters ^H4325 of Noah ^H5146

Would not [fn]flood ^H5674 the earth ^H776 again ^H5750;

So ^H3651 I have sworn ^H7650 that I will not be ^H7107 angry ^H7107 with you

Nor ^H4480 rebuke ^H1605 you.

“For the mountains ^H2022 may be removed ^H4185 and the hills ^H1389 may shake ^H4131,

But My [fn]favor ^H2617 will not be removed ^H4185 from you,

Nor ^H3808 will My covenant ^H1285 of peace ^H7965 be shaken ^H4131,”

Says ^H559 the LORD ^H3068 who has ^H7355 compassion ^H7355 on ^H7355 you.

“Afflicted ^H6041 one ^H6041, storm-tossed ^H5590, and not comforted ^H5162,

Behold ^H2009, I will set ^H7257 your stones ^H68 in antimony ^H6320,

And I will lay ^H3245 your foundations ^H3245 with [fn]sapphires ^H5601.

“Moreover, I will make ^H7760 your battlements ^H8121 of [fn]rubies ^H3539,

And your gates ^H8179 of [fn]crystal ^H688,

And your entire ^H3605 [fn]wall ^H1366 of precious ^H2656 stones ^H68.

“All ^H3605 your sons ^H1121 will be [fn]taught ^H3928 by the LORD ^H3068;

And the well-being ^H7965 of your sons ^H1121 will be great ^H7227.

“In righteousness ^H6666 you will be established ^H3559;

You will be ^H7368 far ^H7368 from oppression ^H6233, for you will not fear ^H3372;

And from terror ^H4288, for it will not come ^H7126 near ^H7126 you.

“If ^H2005 anyone fiercely ^H1481 attacks ^H1481 you, it will not be from Me.

Whoever ^H4310 attacks ^H1481 you will fall ^H5307 because ^H5921 of you.

“Behold ^H2005, I Myself ^H595 have created ^H1254 the smith ^H2796 who blows ^H5301 on the fire ^H784 of coals ^H6352

And produces ^H3318 a weapon ^H3627 for its work ^H4639;

And I have created ^H1254 the destroyer ^H7843 to inflict ^H2254 ruin ^H2254.

“No ^H3605 H3808 weapon ^H3627 that is formed ^H3335 against ^H5921 you will succeed ^H6743;

And you will condemn ^H7561 every ^H3605 tongue ^H3956 that [fn]accuses ^H6965 you in judgment ^H4941.

This ^H2088 is the heritage ^H5159 of the servants ^H5650 of the LORD ^H3068,

And their vindication ^H6666 is from Me,” declares ^H5002 the LORD ^H3068.
