“A [fn]vineyard ^H3754 of beauty ^H2531, sing ^H6030 of it!

“I, the LORD ^H3068, am its keeper ^H5341;

I water ^H8248 it every moment ^H7281.

So that no one will [fn]damage ^H6485 it,

I guard ^H5341 it night ^H3915 and day ^H3117.

“I have ^H369 no ^H369 wrath ^H2534.

Should [fn]someone ^H4310 give ^H5414 Me briars ^H8068 and thorns ^H7898 in battle ^H4421,

Then I would step ^H6585 on them, I would burn ^H3341 them [fn]completely ^H3162.

“Or ^H176 let him [fn]rely ^H2388 on My protection ^H4581,

Let him make ^H6213 peace ^H7965 with Me,

Let him make ^H6213 peace ^H7965 with Me.”

[fn]In the days to come ^H935 Jacob ^H3290 will take ^H8327 root ^H8327,

Israel ^H3478 will blossom ^H6692 and sprout ^H6524,

And they will fill ^H4390 the [fn]whole ^H6440 world ^H8398 with fruit ^H8570.

Like the striking ^H5221 of Him who has struck ^H5221 them, has He struck ^H5221 them?

Or ^H518 like the slaughter ^H4347 of His slain ^H2026, [fn]have they been slain ^H2026?

You contended ^H7378 with them [fn]by banishing ^H5432 them, by driving ^H7971 them away ^H7971.

With His fierce ^H7186 wind ^H7307 He has expelled ^H1898 them on the day ^H3117 of the east ^H6921 wind ^H6921.
