Hosea’s Redemption of Gomer

Then the LORD^H3068 said^H559 to me, “Go^H1980 again^H5750, love^H157 [fn]a woman^H802 who is loved^H157 by her [fn]husband^H7453, yet is committing^H5003 adultery^H5003, as the LORD^H3068 loves^H157 the sons^H1121 of Israel^H3478, though they turn^H6437 to other^H312 gods^H430 and love^H157 [fn]raisin^H809^H6025 cakes^H809.”

Hos 3:2So I purchased her for myself for fifteen shekels of silver, and a [fn]homer and a [fn]lethech of barley.

Hos 3:3Then I said to her, “You shall live with me for many days. You shall not play the prostitute, nor shall you have another man; so I will also be toward you.”

Hos 3:4

Hos 3:4For the sons of Israel will live for many days without a king or leader, without sacrifice or memorial stone, and without ephod or [fn]household idols.

Hos 3:5

Hos 3:5Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king; and they will come trembling to the LORD and to His goodness in the last days.
