They kept sacrificing ^H2076 to the Baals ^H1168

Yet it is I who taught ^H7270 Ephraim ^H669 to ^H7270 walk ^H7270,

[fn]I took ^H3947 them in My arms ^H2220;

But they did not know ^H3045 that I healed ^H7495 them.

I pulled ^H4900 them along ^H4900 with cords ^H2256 of a man ^H120, with ropes ^H5688 of love ^H160,

And I became ^H1961 to them as one who lifts ^H7311 the yoke ^H5923 from their jaws ^H3895;

And I bent ^H5186 down ^H5186 and fed ^H398 them.

[fn]They will not return ^H7725 to the land ^H776 of Egypt ^H4714;

But Assyria ^H804—he will be [fn]their king ^H4428
